Insurance Guidelines
Email Mum believes that as a service provider, we have a responsibility to protect our clients’ properties against any accidents or damage that occur during the course of our housekeeping service being carried out, as well as to our staff working in said homes. Therefore, our insurance cover is fully comprehensive, and includes:
Public Liability- This covers compensation to members of the public in the event of accidental injury damage to property or obstruction, trespass, nuisance or interference with any right of way, air, light or water
Employer’s Liability - Injury to employees in the course of their employment by us.
Cover For Internal Fixtures and Fittings - Email Mum covers all accidental damage. Claims of up to £250 will be directly reimbursed by the company; claims exceeding £250 will be processed through the insurance company.
Email Mum Negligent Damage Cover – Negligent damage is classed by insurance companies as damage caused as a result of poor workmanship ie. if a wrong product was used to clean a leather sofa, and the sofa was subsequently damaged. Because this is classed as negligent damage, there would be no payout on insurance.
We also offer, which is unique and involves negligent damage. Negligent damage is classed by insurance companies as damage coursed as a result of poor workmanship. For example if a cleaner puts the wrong cleaning product on, lets say a leather sofa and the sofa was damaged then there would be no payout. However, Email Mum offers to pay up to £500 toward any damage occurring as a result of direct negligence on the part of our staff, one of the only cleaning companies to our knowledge to offer this.
