About
The Its a Plaything Web Site was created in May 2003 . Originally conceived as a web site for the Project 160 concept van the site soon developed into a web portal providing UK car cruising enthusiasts with relevant content. The current build (2nd Generation) was published in March 2004 when we became dissatisfied with the content that we were providing. We realized this was because our site updating methods were out of date and slow to implement. We developed a content management system and underpinned this with a new structure for the site that would be more efficient to update and for users to find relevant information.
We also wanted the car cruising community to have more influence on the sites direction believing that the site will build into a web site that you the end user want and not what we think you want. The first step taken to achieve this goal is to allow any user to access part of our content management system to post links to their chosen section. We plan to add further facilities to allow content posts e.g. web logs and galleries. These service will come on stream as the site grows.
We hope that this site will be beneficial to the internet community and we will continue to work to improve it. If you have any comments or suggestions just let us know via the guest book.
